On Thursday, June 17, 2010, the I AM PWD Campaign will present a provocative, high-powered panel at the national TCG Conference, where more than 500 non-profit theatrical producers, presenters and funding organizations will gather for their annual theatre conference. "Breaking Down Barriers" ties in with the overall conference theme of "Ideas Into Action" and will include the following panelists who are active in the I AMP WD Campaign:
Robert David Hall (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) who is the National Chair of the Tri-Union Performers With Disabilities Committee; Michael Patrick Thornton (ABC's Private Practice), who is the Artistic Director of Chicago's Gift Theatre and a member of I AM PWD Steering Committee; Anita Hollander, actor and Chairperson of the I AM PWD Steering Committee; Mike Ervin, a writer and disability rights activist who directs Project Access at the Victory Gardens Theatre; Christine Bruno, an actor/singer/director who served as the Disability Advocate for the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts and a member of the I AM PWD steering committee; and Alana Wallace, founder and artistic director of Dance-Detour, Chicago's first mixed-abilities dance company.
